Some tips for healthy snacking…
Keep ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables on hand, like celery and bell peppers
Combe fruits and veggies with dairy or proteins!
Find snacks that satisfy - Consider whole-grain toast with peanut or almond butter; whole-grain crackers with canned tuna or salmon; or cherry tomatoes with hummus
Set yourself up for success - the cookies you always get at the grocery store and always have in your pantry will inevitably make it harder for you to reach for a healthier alternative
Did you know eating seasonally is not only more cost effective but more sustainable? It helps cut back not only on fuel emissions directly from the transportation process but also reduces the amount of energy needed for refrigeration during transportation and storage!
What are some fruits and vegetables that are in season?
Plums
Apricots
Cherries
When it comes to vegetables….
Bok Choy for a mean stir fry.
Beets
Bell Peppers
Lima Beans
