Raqib Shaw: Ballads of East and West
Exhibited at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
An invitation to see the world as Raqib Shaw sees it: “An amalgamation, a hybrid, a cocktail.” The exhibition unfolds across three locations, from a newly commissioned work on the Anne H. Fitzpatrick façade, to a deep dive on Shaw’s process in the Palace's Fenway Gallery to twelve-years worth of paintings in the Hostetter Gallery in the New Building in which, like Shaw’s view of the world: “The more you look, the more it will reward you.”
Hallyu! The Korean Wave
Exhibited at the MFA Boston
“Hallyu! The Korean Wave” features approximately 250 objects—costumes, props, photographs, videos, pop culture ephemera, and contemporary works. Among the highlights are outfits worn by different generations of K-pop idols, dresses by couture designers Additionally, the exhibition showcases objects from the MFA’s own renowned collection of Korean art, including the iconic moon jar and hanbok.

Mint julep
INGREDIENTS
8 fresh mint leaves
.25oz .5oz of simple syrup
2oz bourbon
crushed ice
STEPS TO SIPS
In a julep cup, muddle the mint leaves in ¼ ounce simple syrup.
Add the bourbon and fill the cup with crushed ice.
Stir until the cup becomes frosted on the outside. Taste, adding more simple syrup for a sweeter drink.
Top with more crushed ice to create a dome and garnish with more mint.
